Kait has been a busy girl. This year she is a 6th grader and so she went to Camp Keep. She had fun but came home very hungry, she did not like the food they had for breakfast or lunch. She has been cheering at Dolphins and was very sad to hear that the gym would be closing. She has been cheering there for 9 years. It was hard for her but is excited for a change at a new cheer gym that will be opening soon. Kait has grown up at Dolphins, she once was a shy little girl who had to have her cousin on the mat with her, to being a confident young woman. Kait is looking forward to entering Fruitvale Jr. High in the fall.

Makay has been a very busy boy this year. He turned 14 and can now go to the youth dances, a very big deal for him. He played on 2 different soccer teams. He now plays on South Valley Thunder a club team. He plays as a foward, and he is amazing to watch play. He also played for his Spring Select team Liberty United. This was the last year the team could play together as next year they all will be going to different high schools. They had a great season and Makay had a blast playing. They won several tournaments and won the league championship.Makay scored in every game and averaged 3 goals a game. He really is fun to watch, I can hardly wait to see him play in high school. As if soccer did not keep him busy enough Makay is also involved with History Day for the 4th year. This year he is in a group performance and they are getting ready to compete in San Jose for the State competition. We also registered Makay for Liberty High School. Hard to believe, it just goes by so fast.

Wow! Where has the time gone. Will just try to update a little about the family. Tyler attended his first formal. He asked Julia Morris to attend the Mormal. He had a blast even though he thought it was a lot of work to go. Ordering flowers, coordinating colors and such seemed to be too much for the boy to handle. Ty has also just finished drivers education and will be taking drivers training next. Watch out! Ty is finishing up his Jr. year at Liberty High School. This year he tried out for the soccer team and made the JV team. We were so proud of him for trying something new.

Time Flies!

Wow, this year is flying by. The new school year has started. Ty is a Jr. at Liberty High School, Makay an 8th grader at Fruitvale, and Kait a 6th grader. This summer was packed full. To start with Makay and I went to National History Day Competition at the University of Maryland. This was a awesome trip. We first went to Pittsburgh to meet Ed Reis, a great resource on Makay's project, we spent 1 day there before heading to Washington DC. We were there for 7 days. We saw most of the monuments and would like to go back. Makay placed 12th in the Nation for his project, we are so proud of him and all his hard work. Makay also went to scout camp and he had a blast. Ty climbed Mt. Whitney this year with the YM from our stake. Kait turned 12 and was able to go to YW girl's camp. She had so much fun. Ty also ran in his first 5k and has ran in another one, he does well in them even though he claims to hate running. Both boys are playing soccer. Makay is playing on South Valley Thunder as well as for AYSO. Ty is also playing AYSO, after taking a break for a few years. Kait is still cheering and loves it. This next school year will be busy again, Makay is working on his History Day project already and is hoping to go back to DC.

Wow! Time is just flying by. January was crazy for us. Makay had his birthday, Kait broke her foot, well she had a stress fracture, and Ty started swimming. Kait was put in a black boot. She was not very happy about that and even had to miss the first cheer competition of the season for Dolphins. She got the boot off on Feb.5th and was able to compete in the competition on Feb.6th. However she could not tumble, she had to just hide. She was so excited to be there and compete she was not too upset about that. Makay is working very hard to get his history day project finished and ready for March 6th. Ty is getting ready for the start of swim season, his first meet is Feb. 27th.

Happy Birthday Makay!

Makay turns 13 today! It seems like only yesterday he was only a little boy. He is growing so quick and becoming a great young man. He loves to be around his friends and loves to make people laugh. He loves soccer and is involved in history day which he loves. Life with Makay is never boring and we can hardly wait to see what this year brings.
